FAQs
Composite Door Questions
What is the difference between uPVC and composite?
A composite door has a solid timber core surrounded by foam insulation and a tough GRP skin. This makes it heavier, more thermally efficient and more secure than a standard uPVC door.
Do composite doors need painting or varnishing?
No — this is one of the biggest advantages. The GRP outer skin is coloured all the way through and will never peel, warp or need repainting.
How much does composite door installation cost?
Composite doors start from around £950 fully fitted, including removal of your old door. We give you a fixed quote after a free home survey.
How long does installation take?
Most composite door installations are completed in 3–5 hours. We'll tidy up fully before leaving.
Are composite doors more secure than uPVC?
Yes, generally. The solid core and thicker construction make them harder to break through. We also fit anti-snap cylinders as standard on every composite door we install.
Do you cover my area?
We cover all of Yorkshire — Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Harrogate, York, Wakefield, Huddersfield and everywhere in between.
