Window Installation Questions

How long does window installation take?
A single window takes 1–2 hours. A full house of 8–10 windows is typically completed in one day by our two-person team.
Do I need planning permission?
In most cases, no. Replacing windows like-for-like is permitted development. Conservation areas and listed buildings may have restrictions — we'll check for you.
How do I know if my windows need replacing?
Key signs include condensation between the panes, draughts, difficulty opening and closing, or windows over 20 years old. Our surveyor will give you honest advice.
What glazing options are available?
We offer A-rated double glazing as standard. Triple glazing is available for rooms facing north, on busy roads, or where maximum heat retention is important. Acoustic glass is also available.
Is there a discount for a full house?
Yes — fitting multiple windows in a single visit reduces labour costs. We'll reflect this in your quote. We can also phase the work across two visits if preferred.
What areas do you cover?
We cover all of Yorkshire — Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Harrogate, York, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Doncaster and all surrounding areas.
